What should I do if an insurance company approached me about my injuries?
Transcript
If an insurance company approaches you about your injuries, and you’re represented by an attorney, be sure to tell them that. By law, the insurance company is not supposed to speak with you directly if you have an attorney. If you don’t have an attorney, I would highly recommend that you seek the advice of an attorney before you communicate with any insurance company. Keep in mind, the insurance company has a vested interest in reducing the value of your claim. So it’s good to know what the possible pitfalls are before you contact the insurance company directly.
