Do I have to give a recorded statement to the insurance company in a Florida auto accident case?

Transcript

In a Florida auto accident case, you may be required to give a statement to the insurance company. That depends on which insurance company asks you for a statement. If it’s your insurance company that requests a statement, you are required, under your policy, to provide a statement. If it is the wrongdoer’s insurance company, you do not have to give them a statement. I would recommend that you contact an attorney before you speak to any insurance companies. If the adjuster has an opportunity to speak with you before contacting an attorney, I would suggest that you tell the adjuster you will get back to them.
